Welcome, I shoot, produce and direct nature film - using imagination
and skills as a professional biologist to capture tricky subjects on
camera, from jaguars to snowflakes, hummingbirds to elephants and
everything in between.
Whether it’s nature, wildlife, landscape or outdoor adventure - you
name it and I’ll shoot it - on the latest High Definition video or film
- slow motion to time-lapse. Solving technical problems to film the
difficult, unusual and improbable is how I have built my reputation.
After eleven years as a staff BBC producer, director and cameraman I'm
now freelance and available for any project large or small. I'm passionate about my craft and have what it takes to tell the story, capture a location's sense of place and bring back detailed animal behaviour - with award winning photography.

Artic tundra with over 20 years experience: Peru, the Congo, Gabon,
Australia, Papua New Guinea, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Belize,
Nicaragua, Guatemala, Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama, Italy, France,
Germany, Norway and Canada, as well as many US and UK locations. For
whatever media platform; broadcast, museum short, commercial, promo,
web based media, feature film 2nd unit, DVD, corporate or
editorial/commercial print. If you don't see it on my equipment list I
can source it, HD or film. As a veteran director/cameraman and
owner/operator of a towering pile of equipment I’m cost effective and
understand what’s required from concept to final delivery.
I hold both a US passport and British Residency; I'm available for hire
throughout the USA, the EU and Switzerland and can work at any location
internationally. Film production can be expensive but talking about it
